THANKS FOR VISITING!

Since I design and update my own web site, this is a hybrid first person/resume type of thing.

Is that weird? Yes? Good.

THE FILE

  • Son of Nelson and Juanita, husband of Halima and proud father of Stevie. I cook, create, laugh and make people laugh.

  • Native of New Orleans. Red beans and rice, Creole hot sausage po-boys and beignets make me weak.

  • Board member, Purposeful Philanthropy Foundation. Active member, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

  • Awarded "Best Radio Entertainment Feature" by the New Orleans Press Club for interview with Rwandan genocide survivor Immaculee Ilibagiza. Former host of "HBCU Lifestyle Podcast" one of top 10 education podcasts on Podbean.com 2014-2016.

  • Trivia:

    • During my stand-up comedy days, I once opened for this dude named Kevin Hart.

    • I tore my ACL doing a stand-up comedy routine. I wasn't standing up, though.

    • During a radio interview, I asked Arne Duncan who won in basketball between him and Barack Obama. His answer was very diplomatic. I "booed" his answer...on air.
